I was roaming the perimeter of the airport today, and came across a three story parking garage at the west end of the runway (7right, I guess it would be). It is directly off Deer Valley Rd. at 18th St. which is the entrance to the Cox complex. The access to the parking garage is wide open.

Anyone else ever been there  before? It could make for an excellent place to catch arrivals from the west, when something interesting is flying in.

A shot from atop the garage using my 7D with my 400 prime. No crop. Landing on 7R.

It gets busy out thre.

None. There are security cameras all over the parking garage, but nobody came out and bothered me, and there were plenty of open spaces to park.

Would you call it a "weekends only" spot like Scottsdale or did you get the impression that weekdays would be cool too?

Since there was plenty of open parking spaces, I'd assume they won't be annoyed by our presence during the week. I was there mid-day on Monday and was left alone as people came and went. I'd also assume weekends are even better, due to less people working.
