There were a few launches that looked like DACT flights in the morning.  Some 309th aircraft went out with two aggressor F-16s and there were two mixed formations with an F-16 leading and a Randolph T-38 trailing.  Pretty much a standard Luke morning after that.  21st FS, 62nd FS, and then 425th FS.  A random Iowa Viper came in, and I think it was around 2:15pm or so when Kaspar called me telling me a Raptor came in.

I caught this landing at Luke today. Anybody know what the devices sticking out the sides are?

I found out what those things sticking out of the C-130 are. They're sprayers. Following is from the web site for the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.

The 910th Airlift Wing has the Department of Defense's only large area, fixed wing, aerial spray mission. The aerial spray capability is designed for larvicide and insect eradication, to provide vegetation control at bombing ranges and to disperse oil slicks.

They were involved in the attack on the large oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico last year.

If you don't get sucked in, you get skewered! Great viewpoint.
