I have a feeling they won't be the last to withdraw, unfortunately.

Looking for a silver lining here, this could mean Canadian Gripens, Rafales, or Typhoons at El Centro in the future.

It would be quite cool to have some of the Euro Iron flying up North, but I expect it more likely that they will end up with Super Hornets.   
They may even bend Lockheed's arm to apply some of the money they have already paid for F-35 development into a discount for advanced F-16's.
