As part of my first WTI experience, I had the opportunity to shoot early morning statics of the VMFA-115 Silver Eagles at El Centro. While we were leaving the ramp, I came upon this Grumman A-6E Intruder. It has been relegated to serving as a fire training platform. I was drawn to the aged and decomposing airframe and felt it would be a great subject for a series of monochrome images. Here are the first three.

If you were at El Centro on Wednesday, you know how I feel about this A-6E. I believe I made myself clear on the subject (ad nauseum). I want this bad boy in my backyard for my grandson's to play on - when I'm finished of course
