This shot was a quickie shoot-n-scoot over the fence in garbage light, but I wanted to post it as a heads-up that Sierra Pacific's 500-series 737 is now out and about.  I had been waiting for it, but I had not seen it before.  Admittedly, it isn't quite as exciting as seeing a 200-series, but it is something new to see at TIA.

Thanks for the heads-up John. I guess it was inevitable that they would go with more modern 373's. Maybe its just me, but I've always thought that the 737-100/200 was the best looking of the bunch. IMHO, those long-bodied Pratt & Whitney turbofans look way better under the wings than their new rotund cousins  ;)

Definitely.  The minimalist SP paint scheme (still intact on N712S) works fairly well, too.  You'll notice the scheme is slightly altered on the -500.

While I was looking at this image I realized how weird it is to see green at TIA.  Most of the time, most of the weeds have turned to a terrible and distracting yellow/straw color.
