Had a fun time yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday) morning trying to get some shots of the rare fog we had.  Stuck around after the fog lifted and tried a few different locations.

Sweet shots, Dave!  Sky Harbor would have been a fun place to be with a camera yesterday morning.

The Las Vegas Sands Corp. brought in one 767, one 737, and two Gulfstreams yesterday for the Super Bowl.  Among the people that came in on these aircraft was David Beckham.

Thanks Matt.  It was actually a bit challenging Sunday morning.  The fog was thick enough that it was hard to see any aircraft while they were on approach, they would suddenly pop out of the soup.  Once the fog burned off, I was hoping for some LAX type of vortex/vapor production.  Nope, when fog burned off, the vortices and vapor production essentially went with it!  That's what drove me over to work on those belly shots.  As you can see, just a hint of vortex production - and that was from a relatively early shot.  Later on, it was completely gone.

Nice catch on the Sands' 737.  Cool looking color interaction with the sky.

Thank you!  I was really hoping to catch their 767, but it arrived before I did.

Back on 26 December I spent about an hour on the garages at Sky Harbor, and I finally sat down to edit the full set of photos this afternoon. What a great vantage point! I only wish I had more time to spend there.

That is actually the PSA Retro Jet, when I realized I wasn't gonna get a photo of it stationary, I figured I might as well just fire one off. Glad I did.

People blur on a CRJ isn't as simple as I had figured with how slow people are to get inside those cramped regional jets.
