Thanks to a timely heads up from Joe, went to Sky Harbor trying to catch one of those three-holers that's becoming a rare sight these days (an MD-11).  Low and behold, did I ever catch a three-holer...the Roush-Fenway Racing 727 is a great substitute for an MD-11!

Got doubly luck in catching the Honda-Jet, which I assume is in town for some sales demonstration flights (it departed and returned to Sky Harbor).  Departure wasn't so great, but the return wasn't too bad.  With its unique engine location, might be a tad difficult to get a good angle to show it off (that's not taken from a really long ways away!).

Here's another view of the landing...this does a bit better of a job showing how the engines are mounted on top of the wing.

Once again, my leaving paid dividends for those who stayed.  I should really start charging for that.

Great shots, Dave.  Stoked you caught them both, especially that 727.

I do appreciate your timely departure this afternoon.  Next time we're at Burgers & Beer together, your first round is on me!  I was pretty happy catching that 727 arriving!
