I really like the Piedmont paint on this jet, very nice shot of it Joe. Was this from T4?

Thanks, Harvey!  I think most of US Airways' "east coast" specials look really good, with this and the Allegheny one being my favorites.  This was shot at T4 a few weeks back when I flew home from Missouri.

Andy, nice set of images.....

Agreed.  I especially like the "gray arrival" one.  Remarkably un-silhouettey given the conditions.

Thanks all.

Joe, that's my favorite out of them as well. And as far as the lighting, I'll just say it sure didn't look that good coming out of the camera. It got a healthy workout with the shadow/highlight sliders and the dodge & burn tools. ;D

Anna, it looks like you are having lots of fun at Sky Harbor. You'll love LAX with all the international flights and the A380s. Great shots, the last one is about as reflective as a mirror, nice shooting.

Had an opportunity to join Matt at Sky Harbor yesterday afternoon/evening. It was a fun time and we did our best to follow the fine work Anna has been producing. As the light was nearly gone, we started trying some panning practice at ridiculously slow shutter speeds. Nearly all of mine were terrible, but one came close to what I had hoped to achieve. I was shooting at 1/25th at f/5.6 at ISO 1600. It is a bit noisy, but all things considered I'm OK with it. Accordingly, I title this photograph:
