Tyson's did turn out nice; despite his Nikon handicap

I'll bet there is a story behind this photo that you should share someday. I can't believe this was a dumb luck capture and had to involve some quick thinking and maneuvering; or did you guys conspire with the Iron Eagle boys

The location of the moon had been a constant source of amusement all week as it conveniently rose at the start of airshow each afternoon.

Anytime anything came close, about a dozen voices would just go "MOON!" and we'd try to catch something crossing it.

This one was just pure dumb luck that the Iron Eagles went up on either side of the disc. They did matching hammerhead turns and the plane on the right came back down right through the moon. Salvaging one of those frames will take even more massaging than this one did to get something presentable.
