John Colver has been flying "War Dog" for quite some time.

I'm surprised you haven't shot him Scott.

Jay, I live a sheltered life!  Seriously though, I don't think I've seen it in "person".  Did you post some photos of it at Oshkosh or somewhere?  Seems like I might have even commented about it.  Something to do with shooting on cloudy days.

I know he's flown at El Centro and March as well as other "left coast" events...

Guys like Clark Cook and Keith Braezil seem to see John a half dozen times a year or so in Cali.

Jay, I located the photo I was thinking of. Different SNJ.  The one I was referring to had "49" on the side, gray fuselage, yellow-orange wings, Navy...

I've got to get out more. I actually don't go to very many air shows.  Judging by some of the very fine shots you get at these events I should consider doing more of it!  I've gotten into a bit of a rut shooting mainly military stuff in past three years or so.  Not a bad rut to be in I guess but it is rather limiting.

There's a web site for "War Dog." The schedule shows all events in California, except Yuma, which is pretty close.

If we could attach soundbites, I'd totally add some of Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries' to this.
