Saw some of the images of the EC-121 being ferried to the airport at Chino and my heart raced for a moment, then I got to the part where it is going to Yanks Air Museum. A shame to put a flying example into a non-flying collection.

Anyone hear anything different?

You have it right.  As of now, there are no flying Constellations or Super Constellations in the United States.

C-121C Camarillo Connie was exported to Switzerland.

C-121A MATS Connie was exported to Korea.

C-121A 48-0612 was exported to the Netherlands.

The TWA L-1049 at the National Airliner History Museum hasn't flown in a few years.  Its status on their web site hasn't been updated in two years.  "Weather permitting, engines runs are planned to resume in early 2011."

C-121A Columbine II may make a ferry flight out of Marana Regional someday.

EC-121T 52-3417 should make a ferry flight from Helena, Montana to the Evergreen Aviation Museum someday.

There's one is Salina, Kansas too, not flying at the moment. It was supposed to fly to another airport last year, but there's no word that it did. The site below says the owner had been told by the airport authorities that it had to be removed by the end of last year. You can see it here. (The aerial photo is from August, 2011.)

There is an interesting site about surviving Connies here.

Were any of the above Connies parked at Ryan back in the mid 1980s?

I seem to recall seeing one there while out exploring back then.

VC-121B N608AS was parked at Ryan field until it was scrapped in 2001.
