Would have been a much better article if the images actually matched the text.

Most of the verbiage relates to the Tac Ranges while the images are mostly from the same manned range we visit.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but most readers of the NYT probably won't. 

The Range must be worried about losing budget in the upcoming spending cuts, so they thought they would get in a little advance PR.
