Bill, I think that's one of my favorite F-5 shots too. Awesome that the pilot kept it that low, and that you caught it in that camo scheme before Yuma stopped using it.

Bill, looks like it was still wearing that same scheme as recently as December, but is no longer with VMFT-401. Looks like a Sundowners bird out of Key West now:

The Sundowner Phantoms were awesome in their high viz colors...I miss that gray and white base color with colorful squadron markings. Those were the days. Somehow the fin flash doesn't seem to fit this Tiger, but the lizard camo is perfect as is the photograph. I like the Marine version as well. Both are awesome shots.

That is pretty cool, to see it in Navy markings. Same bird, but based with different units, one all the way on the other side of the country, and it stopped into Willie. Must be an attention hog, needs new photos of it to be taken every time it's in new markings.

Yeah these MiG 28's are a pretty sweet design. Fortunately one of the few early jet designs still flying. Front line fighters in some countries.
