Was this recent?  Not much damage to an A-10, since they are so tough.  Few antennas on the tail to be replace and some paint and she back to new again.....

Apparently this was on 25 March 2008. Would be interesting to see if anyone has caught it since then.

Here's another angle, really ground off a good part of the tails. I'd say half of the LASTE sensor is gone.
