Matt's POTM inspired me...

Very nice, Jeff!  I'm glad my work has, at least, some positive impact on others.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

I'm glad at least one manufacturer had the guts to do something other than the same old T-tailed, low-wing, twin jet. Beech tried and failed but at least they tried.  Nice shot!

Looks like a cross between the Curtiss-Wright X-19 and the Piaggio.  The big problem with small diameter rotors/props is getting enough thrust in vertical mode.  Think of the difference in force generated by the rotor of a Hughes 500 and a 6 or 7 foot propeller hooked to a 300hp engine.  Not that anybody asked!
