SabreCat HD TwinStar lifting off at Falcon Field to film the departure of Sentimental Journey.  Not sure what the full story is, but these guys flew a few times on Saturday, and filmed SJ on two of those flights.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Care Flight 2 (yes, it's 2 not 1 as it says on the tail) lifting after refueling at DVT. Double beacon flash!

Note the way the white stripe on the fuselage continues all the way to the little strut that protects the tail boom from ground contact.

Has anybody heard anything about Phoenix PD getting a new helicopter? N357FB is listed by the FAA as a 2010 model registered to American Eurocopter.

It doesn't have a FLIR (at least not yet) but it does have a white cylindrical device that looks like the ones mounted on Civil Air Patrol planes.

Very well captured Joe.  There's something about the rotor droop pointing at the camera that adds a nice dynamic.  Well Seen...

A pair of Sikorsky Sky Cranes fighting the Eagle Rock fire June 2010. These were taken at Kaibab Lake near Williams, AZ. The red one got a little low and washed his wheels. The orange one's tilt shows the effect of 30 to 40 mph winds, making a steady hover very difficult while loading.

This is not a technically good photo, but it does show the courage of the pilots flying these fires!!! He disappeared into the smoke to make the drop, it seemed like a long time, but probably not more than a minute or two. The wind was blowing 50 mph and embers were starting fires 2 miles in front of the fire.
