Nice one Ned! That's a view a I haven't seen and the light is great.  F-35 looks good from that angle.

Scott - I'm not sure I'll ever understand how the F-35B stays in the air with all those "speed brakes" deployed. I keep thinking a clown will pop out of the top like a jack-in-the-box. Clearly some serious technology at work.

A gentleman puts the seat down when he's done.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

I am digging the F-35 shots Scott....

Thanks Anna, thinking of making another trip out Yuma/El Centro way sometime soon.  Santa Claus showed up today dressed as a UPS guy and dropped off a 300mm f/2.8L IS II. Need some good subject matter...

Obviously a little late to the party but I just became a member so bear with me  :P I attended the arrival ceremony of the first F-35 to Luke. I was right up there in with the press! I was a pretty cool experience.

F-35B in the break at MCAS Yuma for runway 3L.
Typically these guys get back just after sunset. But this particular late afternoon/early evening they arrived right at sunset. In fact, on the ground, the sun had already set.
