Though it may look like these are monotone, or altered to look this way, they were not.

Awesome shots, Bill.  Definitely proof that clouds and stormy weather don't always kill good shots.

Thanks Joe  & Matt,  I remember looking at the series of photos right after they took off, and then I checked my camera to see if it was set to monochrome somehow.  Here's another of the same bird, just a second or so before the last.  Here you can make out some afterburner.  I also posted one from the same day of an Allegiant MD taking off.  Kinda like how it came out also.

Nice shot of the camo bird Matt

Wanted to put this one in the Special Liveries, but since it's a killer, not a carrier, it goes here I guess.

Thanks, the light kinda sucked, but it turned out alright.

Bill, your shots are just awesome, they almost look like paintings!

Hmm.  Maybe a CAG/CO/Colorbird thread?  Feel free to get one going in the military section.

Still kicking myself for missing that colorbird - that was the same day as the Coolidge fly-in back in February, right?

Here's a few older catches.  Always nice when the pilots do a wing rock as they go by the peanut gallery.
Look in the cockpits.  You can see one of the backseaters waving, and you can see the single seater moving the stick.

Awesome series of shots Bill.

I've never been there for a Hornet wing-dip (with the exception of Growler guy who dipped his wing way early).
