I love the color scheme on the Emirates 380 Chris; nice capture.

Here is another angle on an Aussie "Flying Forehead" making an early morning arrival at LAX. I decided not to push the exposure slider so far to the right in LR and show the image more closely to the lighting conditions at that time of morning. Colonel Ottosen was my partner on this photo sortie last December.

Beauty Jeff, I like it just the way it was shot.

We now show uncorrelated targets approaching from the north-northwest.

I really like the small sun glints on the engine nacelles and rear fuselage, this is great light, beautiful shot Jeff.

Thanks Harvey. If memory serves me correctly, you were standing nearby when this beast flew overhead. I suspect you have a similar image. We've had some good visits to LAX; haven't we! Starting to feel like its time for another voyage west my friend ;)

Looks like an Airbus family reunion Brian, all very nice photos.

Thanks tower guy.  The A380s are finally getting up to speed.  What struck me was how few 747s I saw that day. Just three landed during the same time.

my second contender for the photchallend, although I liked the badass front shot of the other picture better, so here are 3 A380s in one shot
