Finally got around to scanning some of my large format negatives.
Can't get any more shallow on the depth of field 7in f2.5 on 4x5 (approx. 35mm equivalent of 60mm f0.7).

Thank you. The original photo has a deep red color and looks even more amazing. Unfortunately the detail gets wiped out when I convert to srgb, so I need to work with it some more.

It was 30 minutes prior to departure. The Eureka & Palisade is in the same spot. It was just going the opposite direction in order to turn around and come up on the first set of tracks.

Rancho de los Caballeros is a nice resort on Vulture Mine Road. They run the horses in the morning and evening between the coral for the horse rides and the pasture in back where they eat and spend the night. I was up helping my folks with the stargazing event they do.
