Airshows / Re: Luke Days 2018 - changes

These are great photos.  We went Saturday, but I took no photos due to an error on my part.  I'll put one in here taken today from my yard, a couple of miles from the base.

Yes, that explains the red.  I was just surprised at how much higher this was than I'm used to seeing.

Putting this here because I am puzzled.  I was out taking a few photos of the cloud formations this evening when I noticed a glint to the west.  I took a few photos of the "glint".  I initially thought, ISS.  Unfortunately I was using a 24-105 lens.  This was taken at 105mm on a full frame, and is about a 95% crop..  It appears to be a commercial jet.  This sucker was really high.  I went on Flight Aware and Flight Radar and did not find what I think I saw.  Any insight?  Thoughts?  Just normal commercial?

I'll throw this in.  I don't know what it is, or when it was taken.  My grandmother, who died in 1984 used a box camera.  This is one of about 500 negatives I have.  She lived on a farm most of her life, and was fascinated with the new, and with cities (30,000 was a metropolis to her).  Look down into the tiny lens, throw the lever, and take the picture.  It was taken somewhere in Ohio, and I would guess in the 1940s.

All you can really do with chain link is to look for a spot where the sun isn't glinting off of it (a shadow on the fence is ideal), shoot wide open and pan at a shutter speed slow enough to blur it as much as possible (and try to avoid catching horizontal fence elements if able)

I haven't actually seen this explained this way before....certainly useful information.

I have relied on Victoria Bampton's The Missing FAQ books since version 3.  Great for an overview or for finding those things you've forgotton....which is my main problem.

I have both Lightroom and Photoshop CS6.  I use Lightroom for the overwhelming majority of my post processing.  I also use it for organization (keywording, rating, etc.).

Very nice Milky Way shots.  It is interesting at night....and then the processing.  Here are a couple from my first attempt last year.  The first is 35mm, 13", f/1.8, ISO 3200.  The second was the same, except at ISO 2000, and stacking about 10 photos and 10 darks.  Taken along Vulture Mine Rd, south of Wickenburg.

Very nice.  Especially with the landing light.
