Have just returned to my home in IL from my 47th annual EAA/Oshkosh and offer some taste of this year's show.

I never will figure out this forum and why some of my submissions don't work.  Here's another try of the F7F

I was lucky to be the guest of Jeff Harris of Allied Fighters (P38 Honey Bunny etc.) and since everyone seems to be so enamored of the F7F Tigercat, will submit one of mine to add to the fray.  Likewise, It seems the B25 contingent was overlooked especially since the theme this year was to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Gen'l. Doolittle's Tokyo raid.  Ill\'ll include one of mine just for the record................Dale

Airshows / Airshows from 1978-1983

Apologies for the relatively poor image quality.  These are scans of Kodachrome slides (some of you may remember that media) and the orignals are greatly superior.  The AVRO Vulcan was taken in August of 1978 as it performed for the Chicago Lakefront Air & Water Show.  It crashed in a landfill near the Glenview Naval Air Station (north of Chicago and now defunct) the next day, killing all aboard.  That is Pappy Boyington signing books at  EAA Oshkosh 1983.  The Staggerwing is from EAA Oshkosh 1981.  More where these came form.........Dale

I didn't see the cost of a ride in the P38 posted but the P51s were $715 + $50 membership in the museum.

Hey, guys.  What do you want for $1500?

I tried this earlier and was shot down.  Will try again.  With the the wind, blowing dust and the strap breaking and dropping my vintage Leica (fortunately no serious damage), I was bummed out.

And now for something completely different
