It probably doesn't matter, but the Corsair with the 8 on the side that was in the CoNA flyover is actually a Goodyear-built FG-1D. Same plane, just built in a different factory.

Thanks Chris.  I'll correct that.  The handout was incorrect as well.

They probably thought nobody would recognize the FG-1D model number. Hardly anybody but airplane geeks like me would care anyway.

You can see in the photos that this one has been converted to a two-seater too, but that was done after its military service, which included a stint with the El Salvador Air Force.
