N533PC, formerly Harrison Ford's PC-12, on final at Falcon Field:

My guess is that he got rid of it because it can't make .5 past lightspeed.

Nice Joe!

I think I see some guy on a ladder reflected in the spinner!

Nice spinner "wink"

Thanks Jay. I took several of this bird leaving and choose this one to post precisely because of the spinner "wink". Interestingly, my 70-200L 2.8 II produces those "winks" or "stars" regularly. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing; however, I like it from time to time so far.

That's a result of shooting at relatively small apertures like we have to use in broad daylight here in AZ.

Slap a three-stop ND on your lens and shoot at f/5.6 instead of f/13+ and the star pattern will be much less noticeable if it even reads at all.

Personally, I like those kinds of specular highlights.  They give images some "sparkle."

I feel kinda dumb that you had to explain that to me  :P  I should have been able to figure that out for myself without displaying too much ignorance on the world wide web. Just when I think I'm starting to understand photography, I get reminded that it is a never ending education. Oh well, I learn a little something each day if I pay attention to others.

Thanks for the enlightenment Jay. Like you, I like those sparkles and glad to know why they show up on my photos from time to time  ;)

'tweren't directed specifically at you Jeff.

Just a passing observation that was meant to broaden the collective...
