Gorgeous shot on that Marchetti Bird Dog, Ben.

Damn, Ben.  The CAP doesn't mess around these days, do they?

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  ;)

That would be Rick Fernau .. Official Photographer and Mayor of Show Low.

Great guy and his wife Kim is a sweetheart.  They work, extremely hard to document all of the judged aircraft so they can have images at the Awards Banquet.
Rick also puts together a very nice slideshow for the Banquet as well.

I emailed Rick a couple years ago and he was kind enough to allow me to support his efforts at Copperstate.  Got me an ultralight ride out of the deal!

Each year, his ladder gets a little taller.  I remember seeing him about five or six years ago on foot with just a step stool.  I'd say he's upgraded significantly from those days! :D

I can see the merits of the altitude.  I was just surprised when I turned around and saw him up there!

It's a very good way to cut down on background clutter...!

Wow guys.  The Copperstate shots are all great.  My favorites are the shots of the Spitfire.

Looks like Thursday for arrivals and Saturday were the better days.

True.......Not for you, but for myself also. Friday was unwise.
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

Joe Copalman

Hey now - you guys caught the Spit.  That counts for something.
