I wouldn't hold your breath on this.  It's a bad sign that they're selling it mid-restoration.  It means they are not going to finish it, and who knows if the buyer (if there is one) will finish it.

There are quite a few jet warbirds out there like this.  The F-106s at El Paso are probably the most prominent, along with one or two of the F-8s that used to be flown by Thunderbird Aviation.  Mike McDougal's recent TA-4J restoration is a good sign though.  Maybe some of these other aircraft will move forward to airworthiness.

Hey Joe do you have any more info on those '106's or Crusaders you refered to? I wanna know more

Info on the F-8s: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/lofiversion/index.php?t120871.html.  Pretty sure the two F-8Ps in question are former Thunderbird Aviation airframes.

Info on F-106s @ El Paso:  http://convairf106deltadart.homestead.com/elpasopage.html

There's some more recent info on the -106s in the Fencecheck thread on El Paso, but I don't feel like digging through 36 pages looking it.  That said, it wasn't really different info - still working on it, still running into problems, etc.
