The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Kind of an odd looking airplane. This is a modification of the Partenavia P.68 called the Observer (for obvious reasons). It belongs to the Department of the Interior and was identified as "Interior 35" on the radio.

This is Piper Malibu N727MC taking off from DVT yesterday (1/9/11) on what turned out to be its last flight. It crashed in the Colorado mountains while enroute to Pueblo, CO with two reported fatalities. R.I.P.

Ironically, the graphic on the tail is of three angels blowing horns.

One doesn't see Bonanzas taking off in formation very often.

Cool plane and shot Chris. Did that come in after I left on Sunday?

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks. I haven't either. I was surprised to discover that there are 40 of them on the US register. I don't know how many of those are flyable though.
