So I broke down and purchased my first L lens today. 300mm F4L IS. It's no 500 F4 but hey it's white!

Yeah I'm hoping to just trade up as time goes on. It's much smaller than I thought it would be and it's about the same weight as the 70-200 2.8 IS I have sitting on my desk here (borrowing from a friend)

So far so good. I have my buddies 1.4x tc and it still is nice and sharp. Can't beat 420mm with IS for this price.
