Fighter Jet Crashes East of Fallon Naval Air Station

A fighter pilot based out of Lemoore, California is recovering after a jet crash overnight east of Fallon Naval Air Station.
According to the NAS, the F/A-18E Super Hornet went down about 90 miles east of the Naval Air Station around 10pm Monday night while on a routine training mission in the Fallon Range Training Complex.
The Naval Air Station launched a Search and Rescue Helicopter and recovered the pilot around 11:20pm.
The pilot, who has yet to be identified, has been hospitalized in stable condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation
