The pilot that survived was in reference to the June 2007 crash.

My thoughts are with the pilot today, and with Su-Su, the P-51D. It's so sad that a plane with so much history could be gone in the blink of an eye. My heart goes out to the people at Stellar Airpark for the rough day I am sure they are experiencing. RIP P-51 pilot.  :'(

Gotchya.  The article did not state whether the person killed was a pilot - they made it sound like it could have been someone in the hangar.

So SU SU was based at Stellar?

Funny that I've never seen it around before today.  Thought I had a pretty good handle on what the more exotic birds were over there.

Someone on Fred Miranda mentioned that they thought the aquisition by the current owner was fairly recent (?)

The East Valley Trib is reporting that the pilot was killed instantly, and the pilot was the plane's owner.
