The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Great shots.
Seconded.  Really unique framing on the night shot.  Good stuff.

Nice. How long were you blinded after that shot?

Joe Copalman

Thanks.  Was at 25mm and kinda-sorta squinting in anticipation (unlike 99% of my sun-crossings, this was intentional), so it wasn't too bad.  Had I been at 500mm and not expecting it, I'd probably be wearing an eyepatch today.

Same bird, different day.

Definitely a nice catch, Dave! That is great that they're starting to put nose art on the Coppers!! Joe's straight on shot had the 'Let's Roll' nose art and this one has a DBacks piece. Very cool and nice work, buddy.

I'm surprised you lasted that long.  I stopped by on Tuesday on my way home from work and lasted about 40 minutes for the same reason.  My last two  KC-135R shots were actually taken from inside terminal 4 as I was waiting for my flight to Baltimore.  The only thing one has to deal with there is window flare and fingerprints.
