The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

More from Miramar '08, this time some Super Hornet vapor.

The last shot sort of reminds of the time-warp/vortex scene from that '80's movie, "The Final Countdown" sci-fi movie when the USS Nimitz is transported back to Pearl Harbor in 1941.

I think I over heard someone say that it was an avionics test squadron bird, and that this aircraft has all the latest upgrades being considered by the RCAF.
