The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Couldn't agree more.  Michelle and her team (Petty Officers Probert and Sanchez were our escorts, and they were both outstanding) really did an amazing job of accommodating both groups very well.  Bravo Zulu to all of you.

Special thanks to all the AzAP members who attended for representing the group well, and thanks to our friends at Fencecheck for sharing the field and the vans with us.  While it certainly wasn't an ideal arrangement, it was very nice to meet new people and to catch up with old friends.

Can't wait to see everyone's images!

I looked at my shot of #6 when it was back on the ground and parked, looks in my shot anyway the right side nozzle had damage. I'm sure someone got a better shot than mine of this. Will post shots later tonight.

Was a great time and as always thanks to the NAVY, Michelle & crew!

Und now - zee fotos!

I know, I know.  Sharp in some places, blurry in others, but I still dig how this one came out.

All right, let's get the party rollin...

Trying to not saturate this thing and give everyone an opportunity to post their better stuff, here are a few of mine ... including that large silhouette that came sooooo close to giving me a haircut.

And for some lighter stuff that's not quite such a blue subject.... (yes, that was my last Blues joke, if that qualifies as a joke)

2nd shot is at 1/50th.

Too many shots to comment on, they are all sooo great and make me very jealous for not being able to go.

Just wanted to say a big "thanks" to you guys for your support of what we do here.  Sometimes you are the aviation community's best advocates.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us in El Sweato and I can't wait to see more photos.

Jay,

I like what you selected, but 31 and 38 on your site epitomize El Centro to me.  Thanks for capturing who we are.  Would love to have copies of those two images...have an awesome 47 in digital photo frame that I display your guys' work on in the command bldg.
