I would like help identiying this C-130 variant. I caught this coming into DM on 9/20/06. My best guess is an EC-130J Commando Solo. I welcome other suggestions.

Bingo on the EC-130J.  This is the PSYOPS variant operated by the PAANG's 193rd SOW.

Outstanding catch, I'd love to gets shots of one of these.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Very nice catch Ned, these are the sneakiest of the sneaky in my experience. There were in England many times and in 3 years I never once got a decent shot of them.

Ned, that is a Comando Solo bird.  I believe that the unit is a Air National Guard Unit out of Harrisburg, PA.  I used to know several folks who were attached to this unit in Harrisburg.

Great shot, Ned.

Never seen an "AF" bird.  Lots of Wing and OG birds.  Very cool catch.
