Whoa.  He looks seriously grumpy.  "I asked for a radar bird."
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

One of the best AV-8 shots I have seen and I have seen quite a few. That low angle is killer, such a clean shot from that angle, great work Scott.

Thank you very much Harvey.  The pilot is a former VMAT-203 instructor, now with MAG-13.  He was test flying the aircraft that morning.  That particular Harrier was later lost near Felicity, CA.  Between Yuma and El Centro.

You don't concentrate on risks. You concentrate on results. No risk is too great to prevent the necessary job from getting done.

Saw something interesting the other day just before sunset... Four bags of gas on a Harrier. I was not paying attention to the scanner and missed his clearance, but figure he was either going on a very long flight (for a Harrier), or maybe just moving empty tanks around. Joe mentioned VMA-214 is involved in an ITX at 29 Palms (I was born on base at the Stumps) and maybe it was just logistics.
