Hey guys,

I just got a heads-up from Kevin over at Fencecheck that there have been several incidents recently involving photographers taking pictures of the main gate at El Centro, which is a cause for concern among their base security personnel.  I know this is a "duh" subject for all of us, and I'm fairly confident that none of us are doing it, but given that such activity can potentially strain the base/photographer relationship, I felt this was worth passing on.  When shooting outside ANY military installation, avoid taking photos of buildings, fences, gates, etc.  And, when shooting on-base, only take photos of things you are authorized to photograph.  If in doubt - ASK before shooting, and be prepared to take no for an answer.

All the best,

Joe
