The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."

They have names?  Cool!  Where did you find that information?

It's called Animal Tales.  You can find it on Frontier's website, or Wikipedia lists all the names by aircraft type and N-Number.

Thanks Matt.  I love the Frontier Tails.  I've taken lots of them, but didn't know they had names.  Thanks again.

Ramp Rat,

I just noticed the tiny America West logo on the nose gear door of # 802 (middle pic of the previous post).  Do all the old AW planes have that logo?

When all the AWA planes were repainted in US colors they were all given a tiny AWA logo on the gear door to show that it is a west fleet aircraft.  There are a couple west planes that don't have the AWA logo anymore, however I'm not sure why.  My guess is that the gear doors have either been repainted or replaced for MX reasons at some point, and adding the AWA logo wasn't important.

Good eye!
