Ross Dinsdale

We are now accepting nominations for the July 2017 POTM.
You are allowed to nominate TWO (2) photos for POTM.  Please keep track of your nominations.
The nominations do not have to be given at the same time, just within the POTM timeframe.

To nominate a photo, click on the link within the post that says "Report to moderator" and enter a comment requesting to nominate this photo for POTM.  This will send us an email letting us know which photo you would like to nominate.  If there is more than one photo within the post please remember to let us know which photo you are nominating.  You may also include a comment indicating the reason why you think the photo deserves consideration for POTM, such as composition, uniqueness, special lighting or other conditions, etc.

Please remember:
1. The photo must have been posted to the forum between the 15th of May and the 20th of June.  This gives photos posted right at the end of the previous month's nomination time-frame an opportunity to be discovered.
2. Each member can nominate two photos (choose wisely and keep track, you cannot change your nominations).
3. Photos should prominently feature an aircraft.
4. When the poll opens you are allowed one vote, you can change your vote if you change your mind (until the poll closes), and you can vote for your own photo.  Results will only be shown after the poll period has ended.
5  Please do not post any comments about the photos which have been nominated, until after voting has closed.

You may vote for your own photo when the poll is open.

The winning photo will be displayed in the slideshow on the AzAP main page (http://azaerophoto.com) and the AzAP Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/azaerophoto).  The winning photo will be on display for the entire month.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Speaking of yourself in the third person is disconcerting.  I'm worried this rally ranger midnight cowboy business has you confused.  Congrats to whichever personality was on duty when you took this image  ;D

Hahahaha.  It was a little awkward to win and be the mod at the same time. So I tried to put some distance by using third person descriptions.  The Rally Cowboy may look great inside the framing of a photograph or tv screen mind you, but he is a horrible shot behind the camera.

Thanks for the kudos from everyone so far.  I personally feel quite accomplished not only to have a picture of mine be nominated, but to win POTM.  There were 7 other photos that were just as deserving as mine was.  Thanks guys.
