You don't concentrate on risks. You concentrate on results. No risk is too great to prevent the necessary job from getting done.

As much as I'd like to think she was shooting us, I think the Hornet was a bigger attraction!   :'(

Here are a few shots of my Diamond DA20 here in the valley.

Here is another one

The second picture was right after my solo flight and I landed back at SDL.

The picture above was shot at Buckeye and I was meeting up with some buddies from the Air Force Jump team.

Mods, I could not edit my post to put in this info.

Nice light there Chris!

I was up at KSDL for non-photographic purposes the other day and just about all the departing biz jets let out a "War Eagle!" or "Go Ducks!" when switching from tower to PHX Approach.  One pilot just replied "Quack, See Ya!"

Thanks!

I went early to try to catch the departures of the planes that were there for the game. It was a long wait, as there were so many planes leaving DVT and SDL, which PHX Approach essentially considers one airport for IFR departures, that they were waiting 45 minutes or so for IFR release at one point.

I'm sure the kerosene users burning "cubic dollars" coming out of SDL tend to trump the smaller birds out of other airports.

Personally, I'd rather make the flight back to Eugene in the Diamond.  I bet it's a very scenic flight.

"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Great image you created Joe. If I look at it for a while, I see it coming and going. Cool illusion!
