Scott, I really like the framing and your use of depth of field to isolate the primary subject. I especially like how you've composed the image with your primary subject "off center". Your monochrome treatment is an excellent choice for this image as I assume the color version would be much less interesting. How about sharing some EXIF info on the shot (camera, lens, settings, etc). I'd also like some info on the subject since I am definitely unsure of what this "treasure" actually is

Based solely on the name of Scott's photo, I'm guessing it's a propeller hub.

Thank you Jeff!.  Dave's got it. It's the end of a constant speed propeller blade. The bevel gear is part of the mechanism that controls the pitch. Shot with a Nikon D810 and 24-120mm f/4 VR lens set at 65mm. ISO 400, f/4, 1/320th sec.
