Finally getting to see stuff from the NAFEC trip.  The "surprises" for the day were good ones.

Nice series John. I was on the bus when the C-130's did their pass.  So when you say regeneration do you mean they pulled it out of the boneyard and made it airworthy again?

Exactly.  The USMC have been regenerating F/A-18C/D Hornets back to their air fleet.  I caught three of them depart AMARG in early June 2015 (164696, 164713, 164715).  I haven't heard a single thing about them since then, though.
