Pretty sure I heard Ride of the Valkyries playing in the distance as these bad boys approached!! And they were maneuvering about much more than normal. Maybe it was the threat of small arms fire from the Foothills and east Yuma?

I typically stay off to one side of the runway or the other - I've had parts drop from my airplanes and I would not want to get hit by a chunk of falling jet... But sometimes flying the extended centerline is an approximation. Rather than running away, I took the shot.

Were they refueling overhead this time?

Cape May and the surrounding area was very nice, lots of outdoor time and lots wildlife, and it was a relaxing vacation to boot.
