The noise, the exhaust, the heat, being on the edge of the deck with a 65 foot drop to the ocean below, and taking all this in while trying to take photos through a viewfinder, that truthfully, limits your view of the world around you.  All you see is what you are focused on, but your body feels the rest and your brain kinda freaks out trying to put everything together.  This was the first launch I saw during my embark, first launch I have ever seen first person, and it scared me a little.
