Numerous tankers and fighters cycled through the "Dome" refueling track overhead Yuma all afternoon and into the night (16 Apr 15)
First time I've seen F-35's on a tanker in real life. Ned caught them in a dissimilar formation the other day. Slowly becoming operational!

Just one of a couple thousands shots over the past couple days as WTI 2-15 comes to a close.
I think this pilot was wondering what Ned, Bruce and me were doing pointing all that glass in his direction... Say Cheese!!

WTI meets "Low Light Panning" - 1/40th of a second, handheld, 100-400mm MkII (at 400mm) on the 7dMkII 1.6 cropped sensor, 20 minutes after sunset.

Lots of visiting Osprey activity! Flocks of them!
There were actually six (I missed the last one going for the distant shot) that departed Yuma 15 minutes after sunset - more low light practice.
Handheld, 1/80th of a second shutter priority, 400mm on a cropped sensor (640mm equivalent), ISO 1600, +1/3 EC, and either f5.6 or f7.1.

Awesome first volley Mike!

Really wishing I could make it out to the HA/DR evolution tonight, but I'm anchored to a desk with a deadline at my big-boy job, so no getting Stallion-blasted at Kiwanis with everyone.  Hope it's a busy night for y'all!

Thanks Joe! It was a nice afternoon with a good number of AzAP folks!! Nice weather, slight breeze kept the dust mostly at bay and none of the 53's buzzed us (no dirt bath) like years past.
