MORE THAN JUST SPACE STUFF

NASA's TF-8A Supercritical Wing testbed. I've been obsessed with this aircraft since I was a kid, as it manages to be both elegant (those wings) and ungainly (that bolt-on area ruling). It was awesome being able to finally see it up close. The airfoil used by most modern airliners that enables them to travel farther and faster while using less fuel traces its origins to this specific airframe.
