Is it possible that we can nominate the last dozen images Jay has posted for December's POTM?

Another gem Jay. This is one case where the overcast provides a nearly perfect backdrop. The sharp geometric diagonals of the Black Diamonds contrast wonderfully against the softer shapes and tones of the cloud cover. For me, the decisive element is the rich structure of the 'smoke' as it billows in the vortices. My #2 grandson says it looks like three dragons flying after the 'bad guys'. I actually agree with his youthful description. Absolutely terrific sir.

No kidding, what a great series of shots.  I agree with Jeff on the benefits of the cloud cover.  I think it worked out better than stark blue.
