I caught this merge. Then noticed the "VIP?" in the backseat... All part of an awesome and amazing, once in a lifetime experience!!
Heck, I've been flying since the early 80's, taught advanced jet aerobatics and formation for many years, have never been sick in an airplane, but I'd certainly fill a bag or two as well on that ride!
It's tough on the guts when not in control. And, as smooth as these guys look, it takes a whole lot of very quick, abrupt and aggressive gut-wrenching maneuvering - especially the solos.

We own the tower controller a few pizzas and beverages of his choice! Or maybe a few framed photos?
For those who could not make this event, the tower controller was pulling aircraft in who were transiting the area and asking them to fly down the runway for a group of visiting photographers!!

^^^^ The iconic BA launch well captured Matt. I love the dirty yellow of the bio fuel and how you caught #4 already moving for the slot. I hope your ear protection was in place as I'm sure that got very loud
