Chris,

That's a sweet looking shot.  Framing on it is well balanced (did you crop at all?), and it has just enough rotor blur to indicate the helo is flying and not falling out of the sky.  How did you set the exposure; manual or shutter priority?

Thank you Dave, this was taken back in 2010 when I was just a step above shooting full auto so I believe it was set to shutter priority, I did crop it a bit to remove some sky above, I felt it was too much and there was some more open area in fron the the helicopter that made it feel unbalanced, thats about it though, I was happy with the results and im hoping to get back to Yuma this year to shoot this bird again before they have all been retired but im really glad you liked it too, means a lot  coming from someone of your shooting ability
