This is not a very good photo due to the distance to the north runway, but I wanted to know if anybody could verify the identification. It is marked 160619 and he was using HX 619 as his radio code. I'm pretty sure it says HX-21 under the Marines on the tail boom. From what I have found on the web, this is Navy Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 21. However, that is based at PAX River in Maryland. Are they likely to have aircraft in this area? They landed briefly at a hospital near DVT and then did two low approaches there, so I assume they were doing a recon of the area. Any ideas what they might have been up to?

No idea what they're up to, but that FLIR turret looks a bit more robust than the standard BRITE Star fitted to the Ns and Ys.

Interestingly, Jack has some photos posted of the same aircraft, taken a year ago, and it was then assigned to HMLA-169. It has 10 painted on the door. In my photo it looks like you can see where they painted out the10.

This guy was doing constant practice landings on St. Joes heli-pad of which I work right across the street so what a kick in the pants I didnt bring my camera as I usually do, so after work I ran home grabbed my camera and waited on the top level of st joes parking lot waiting, but to avail I went in hunt of the beast, he had beeen approaching from the south so I headed to Sky Harbor and while on my over I saw him take off from somewhere inside Sky Harbor, I believe by Swift or Cutter but he swung around north then east when I got this shot from quite a distance and didnt see him again, if someone learns something please pass along especially if he's going back to st joes, that was a great photo opp  :(

Great shots Jeff, I especially like the "Cobra with Venom" (title and photo), the background with the clouds helps make it.

Thanks Chris & Bill for the kind words. Here is another view of the Venom that I found interesting.
