Boeing 737-8 Max prototype N8704Q is visiting Sky Harbor for the first time. I was parked along the approach to Runway 8 when it was cleared to land on that runway. Then the tower asked him where he was going to park and offered, "I can let you have 7 Left", so I ended up shooting into the sun.

Very cool Brian. I've been following it on FlightAware for a couple days. It's a very fresh update on the 737.

Beautiful shot Ross!

Thanks John. I always get excited when I get to shoot with some cumulus clouds as a backdrop.

Hoping to catch this brand new jet fly soon... It's been parked here in Yuma for about a week now.
At OSH '15 the Boeing guys said they would be doing hot weather testing here - like they did a couple years ago with the 787 and 747-8.
But it's not very hot out right now. Not sure if they missed the summer, went somewhere else, or will be back in a few months. Anyway, her she is!!
Sorry for the grainy "spy photo" - it was darn near dark out when I happened to be on that side of the airport.
